Content Debuting on Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and Other Streaming Giants in October 2022
The arrival of October heralds more than just the start of the Halloween season. Every major streaming platform is gearing up to provide subscribers with fresh new content at the start of a brand new month. Large quantities of new movies, TV shows, and specials are coming to streaming services like Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, Hulu, Paramount+, Peacock, and Prime Video over the next few weeks. If you're a Marvel or Star Wars fan, next month is going to be a huge one on Disney+. Both Andor and She-Hulk will be releasing new episodes in October, and both series will also be introducing brand new titles. The Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi and Marvel's Werewolf by Night one-shots both drop in October.
Coming up next month, a new streaming service will be in charge of one of the most watched comedies of recent years. Schitt's Creek's success in the United States can be attributed in large part to its availability on Netflix; however, on October 3rd, the award-winning Canadian series will begin streaming exclusively on Hulu.
AMC Networks, the company behind The Walking Dead, bought the rights to adapt 18 of Rice's most famous works, including her Vampire Chronicles and The Lives of the Mayfair Witches series, in 2020. Interview with the Vampire, The Vampire Lestat, The Queen of the Damned, The Tale of the Body Thief, Memnoch the Devil, The Vampire Armand, Pandora, Vittorio the Vampire, Blood and Gold, Prince Lestat, Prince Lestat and the Realms of Atlantis, and Blood Communion: A Tale of Prince Lestat can all be found in AMC's Anne Rice catalogue.
The Witching Hour, Lasher, and Taltos are all books in The Lives of the Mayfair Witches series, while "Merrick," "Blackwood Farm," and "Blood Canticle" are crossover novels between the Vampire Chronicles and the Mayfair Witches. Anne Rice's Mayfair Witches, which will consist of eight episodes, will premiere on AMC and AMC+ in early 2023.
